Grandparents
ReplyDeleteRolling farms in front of the car
Chalky yellow gravel as we walk arm in arm
Thickly packed corn surrounding me afar
Joyful conversation as explore the farm.
Friendly greetings on the road side
Black & White photos of times passing by
Baby blue cookie jar resting inside.
A honk of the horn and a wave to the grands,
we rest assured their in heavenly hands.

ReplyDeleteOde to Valentine's Day
ReplyDeleteCupid, your arrows fling notes of love,
Pink hearts, red balloons, and chocolate doves.
You remind us to thank our loved ones for their joy,
Delicious foods we relish, savor, and enjoy.
Your tenderness is a fountain that spreads our love afar,
The memories we cherish held like loved ones in our arms.

The spark of rays grow like a kaleidoscope,
I gaze at the sunlight and ponder some hopes
The clover pedals spread as I pluck a fresh chap.
There once was a lion named leon
Who ran into the wrong season
He flopped in the snow
That was up to his nose
And he never caught the doe he was seein’
