Lime green moss covers the lake side rocks
Cascading water rushes ashore,
The chatter of seagulls circling, searching for fish below.
Tangled plastic soda rings rest on jagged rocks
Dark brown sludge rolling in the lake water,
Oil covered pelicans flapping their tattered feathers.
Two worlds collide.
A green tree and the dark brown eyes of a deer,
Or a smog cloud and eyes darting away in fear?
What symbols, slogans, or pictures do you notice in your favorite advertisements?
I noticed that many groups used the symbol of a heart ♥ in their advertising presentations. Hearts represented the word love, but also showed a feeling that the product creates.
ReplyDeleteFor example one group advertised the product "Love Express". The bottle included a diamond shaped bottle with a heart symbol ♥. The group used quotes to also show the affects of Love Express. The quote, "Macy's was sold out in China", showed its customers infatuation with the product.
Valentine's Day is tomorrow, February 14th, and the heart its main symbol that people recognize around the world.
What are some other holiday symbols that you recognize? President's Day? Halloween? Fourth of July?
