symbols

One symbol in our pop culture is that of fast food restuarants like BK!
What other symbols are we familiar with and what do the communicate/represent?

  1. There are symbols like on flags in which we use them to represent freedom, war, or any other things that a country has done.

  2. I see symbols at the super-market on some of the products that are owned by such companies such as: Fanta, Kellogs, Pillsbury, sweet valley, Coca Cola, Pepsi, and many more.

  3. I think it's fascinating that we are surrounded by so many symbols. Think about Target--we know its symbol so well that the store doesn't even put it's name anymore. Now it just puts the target symbol and we all know what it means.

  5. I agree with you alex because i know that on the mexico flag the snake standing on the cactus with a serpent was the symbol for where the aztec should build the city of Tenochtitlan

  6. I agree with Ms. Katz because the target symbol is one of the best ways to show how strong symbols can become and be recognized. As she said now target doesn't have to put their name, since everyone knows the symbol for target now. same goes for when people see skulls and know something's deadly

  7. There are many different types of symbols in our world. Many have just one meaning, while others have multiple meanings. For example: Sign language is a form of language that is taken with one direct meaning for each symbol made by hands. The word "water" can be taken as with many different meanings such as smoothness, the form of water itself, etc.
