  2. I started my Essay by saying a quote that this person said one. That person is...Albert Einstein once said "It is strange to be known so universally and yet to be so lonely."

  3. This quote makes a good point Javier, it is true that being famous could be lonely. Albert Einstein was very well known for his achivements but may have felt lonely despite this name recognition. I think having several close friends would be better than being known by lots, but not really known:)

  4. Well being famous has it's benefits as well as disadvantages; you can clearly see that when reading "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins!

Anyways starting with a quote from a famous well known person is a great way to begin. I suggest that later on in your essay you should explain about how the person that you used the quote from became famous and explain their quote as well. It's just a suggestion.

I've always wondered, can there be a middle man in this conversation? What I mean is that can there be a compromise on being famous, being well knowned yet there won't be planned attacks against you, your personality would not deteriorate! Is it possible? Is there any famous/well known people out there which you know?

Anyways here's a fact, did you know that country music stars/singers have a higher suicidal rate? Yet it's factual, anyways whomever that wants to use this fact for their essay against becoming famous, go ahead. I apologize for not having the source..it's been a while!

  9. I wouldn't want to be famous because it is a enormous invasion of privacy. The paparazzi are everywhere. Recording every move you make or even your relationships with others. Then there is the whole "who is better in the eyes of the people." I don't think that celebrities competing among themselves is a good thing to do. There might be more pros than cons for a majority, but i wouldn't really want to be famous for these core reasons!. =]

  10. Thanks for sharing your opinion about would you like to be famous! There are some insightful questions and thoughtful suggestions about the topic here. Using facts and quotes in your essay is a reliable way to strengthen your position, I agree Brenda. It is interesting that some groups of celebrities would have a higher suicide rate than others.
It was also interesting to hear you share that there are issues of privacy that come along with being famous, good point Navid.
It is great that you have stated your main reasons around this central idea of privacy. When we support a position with clear main reasons it can help others to see another perspective on the issue. This may begin to sway others into considering your point of view.
